Back; Sorry

Well, it has been some time since I treated you to my dull thoughts. So, let's rejoice in the hiatus and recoil with sorrow that this blog is now active again!

BAFFLED

Currently watching Disclosure Surviving Domestic Abuse. The levels of aggressions are high. The aggressors are vile and caught bang to rights on tape and home security. One male abuser was sentenced to spend 27 months in prison! He was freed after half of this! He was given merit for saying that he was guilty... The evidence showed he was guilty. It makes no sense. He could only have claimed to not be guilty if the jurors were all to be insane. That said though; courts rely heavily on truth and in order to uphold truth they call upon Holy books (we shall come to this soon)...

A few hours ago, I saw that humans have been killed in Germany. A knife was the weapon. The 'news' says that 9 people were touched by the knife. Three died. The motive of the person with the knife is unknown. Media reports have cited that terrorism may well be a motive. No shit! Terror was certainly attained and it is not far fetched to assume that cultural/religious differences/rivalries will be the ultimate motive. Funny to think that some will insist that I am racist for making this assumption based on the perpetrator being a Syrian refugee. If religion was not a motivator here then I will happily eat my words.

Anyway, it is beyond farcical to assume or to even accept that the motive is that wanted and supported by a God (should God exist). God! All divine books have been writ by human hand. Books of note. The ones that contain rulings, doctrines and tales. If a God would want to kill then they could surely use something better than a fucking blade. The point here will not elude me (the reason to kill in the name of religion). Humans wantonly killing strangers in the street and doing so whilst believing that a God somehow is egging them on from a paradise. 

Mad to think that any juror would be asked to swear honesty upon such a divine book. A book with the power to hold ultimate truths! A book that holds enough evil for humans to interpret its contents and then slaughter people at random. Some passages that do not even need interpreting as they openly justify murder and the externalising of guilt by the sinner. A book that likely upholds the death penalty and the punishment of women at every turn of the page. This is to say that women are subservient in many doctrines of major religions. One such book recommends that female rape victims be stoned to death. 

Baffled by our world. 

Whoever sits on the jury for the maniac in Germany will get to choose which Religious Book they wish to swear by. The same stands for the jurors in the aforementioned Domestic Abuse trials (should the abusive man not heroically pled guilty to reduce his sentence). Come to think of it, in Germany, jurors may even swear by the same text that the accused used to justify their rampage... A gross irony that baffles me.

Note: I am not citing any one particular book. You would be spoiled for choice if you were in the market for a Divine Book to justify murdering innocent people.
